"Stewart’s appointment marks not only our commitment to our brokers and their clients, but also our confidence in the buy-to-let market as a whole."
Stewart has extensive experience in the banking sector, and previously spent the last six years at Coutts.
Shawbrook says it has "continued confidence" in the buy-to-let market, despite uncertainties following recent regulatory and government change across buy-to-let and tax.
Stewart said: "I like that Shawbrook offers a far more tailored service to their customers than the more traditional high street Banks. By using their specialist knowledge and taking each customer's personal circumstances into account before making a decision, they take a pragmatic approach that has built up an excellent reputation in the industry."
Emma Cox, sales director at Shawbrook Commercial, added: “Shawbrook is a champion of the broker market and of just how effective this community is in delivering for the professional BTL investor. Stewart’s appointment marks not only our commitment to our brokers and their clients, but also our confidence in the buy-to-let market as a whole.”
